Gathered by staff at the ICTJ as a resource file, the printed materials files house publications from the United States, Canada, and countries all over the world relating to peace processes and to the pursuit of legal reparations and reconciliation in areas of conflict involving human rights violations. Formats include annual reports, legal journals, human rights organization publications, many types of reports and white papers, conference proceedings, and newspapers, as well as some posters and other ephemera. The files are arranged in two main series: General Files, which are subdivided into Annual Reports, Conference Files, Journal Issues, Other Printed Material, and Subject Files; and the Geographic Series, arranged into subdivisions for Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, and Latin America, then by individual countries in alphabetical order. There are also separately housed oversize Geographic Series materials, arranged in alphabetical order by country. Acquired as part of the Archives for Human Rights at Duke University.
